Where are you located?
All of our properties are located within walking distance of the centre of town, and the lifts can easily be reached on bike or on foot.
For a map - visit the page for the property you are interested in and then select "Location", you can then also select "Get driving directions from Calais" for a suggested driving route.
Do we need insurance?
Yes. We recommend that you take medical insurance specifically for extreme/mountain activities. Although locked storage is provided, please ensure that you have adequate insurance for your equipment. In the past we have used www.snowcard.co.uk and have been very satisfied with their service.
Can we hire bikes?
It is possible to hire bikes from several of the bike shops in town and we would recommend DertMTB. They offer a good range of bikes right through from cross country bikes to top of the range downhill bikes and prices are online.
Is it safe to travel with bikes?
Yes. Most airlines are happy to take bikes, sometimes they may charge an excess baggage fee - please check with the airline company if you are unsure.
It is worth packaging your bike carefully in a box with padding or in a specially made bike bag to ensure that it travels safely.
Do I need to bring tools?
Yes. Please bring a good selection of tools yourself so that you can fix your bike should something go wrong. We provide track pumps and work stands at the chalets as well as a good area to work on the bikes, but cannot provide tools. A multi-tool for use out on the trail and a CamelBak is also highly recommended.
